How will healthcare affect you as a consumer? As an employer? Hear insights and have your questions answered by Dr. Bill McGuire, who served as chair and CEO of UnitedHealth Group from 1991-2007.  

During his tenure, Dr. McGuire focused on ways to improve the health care system through innovative programs that addressed a broad spectrum of health needs, issues and constituencies.  Currently, Dr. McGuire continues to be involved in health-related issues surrounding access, affordability, appropriate use of health resources, outcomes of care, overall wellness, the need for greater physician leadership in our nation’s health care system, and basic medical research.  Dr. McGuire is also actively engaged in worldwide biodiversity research and preservation of the environment; efforts to address disparities and suboptimal outcomes in our education system; and the importance of the arts to our society.  

In Feb. 2013, Dr. McGuire became the owner of the Minnesota Stars, the professional soccer team that is part of the North American Soccer League. The team has since been rebranded as Minnesota United FC.
