Locks of Love Benefit at Ole Piper Inn

Ole Piper Inn is hosting a benefit for Locks of Love located at 1416 93^rd Lane NE in Blaine on Saturday, June 4^th at 3pm. 

During the benefit we will have two-for-one drinks, a taco bar, pizza buffet available for those who purchase a $5 Locks of Love bracelet.

The owner, Paul Spitzley will be donating his hair to the cause for the second time, allowing patrons to snip off his ponytail along with other volunteers who will be donating their hair.  Everyone donating their hair will then receive a free hair cut from a professional stylist.

We have rallied with our generous patrons and suppliers collecting many fabulous prizes including: John Deere lawn tractor mower valued at $2700, gas grill, kayak, 37” flat screen tv and more. 

100% of the money we raise from this benefit will be used to purchase custom hairpieces for children, each hairpiece costs between $3500 -$6000.  The wonderful thing about these hairpieces is that they are a vacuum seal, allowing only the wearer to remove.  Children can then swim, do gymnastics and do not have to use irritating adhesives on their scalp.  In short, we can help these kids be a kid again.  We can help return their self-esteem and bring smiles to these children’s faces, we can all make a difference. 

Hair Donation Guidelines:

•        10” or longer
•        Clean and dry
•        Bundled in a braid or ponytail
•        Free from bleach
•        Colored or permed hair is acceptable
•        Layered hair is acceptable if the longest layer in 10 inches
•        Curly hair may be pulled straight to measure the minimum 10 inches
