    Hiring Bonus: $1,000.00 (paid after 3 month work anniversary)

     

    Position Summary:

    Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work directly with people with disabilities in a center-based setting so they can live a life filled with purpose. This position is a Level I DSP based out of a Rise Center. 

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct support for people with disabilities
    • Supervise production jobs and provide training and resources to advance the work and social skills of persons served
    • Model appropriate behavior and interactions
    • Position may include lifting and transferring adults to/from wheelchairs and assist with personal care
    • Continually inspire personal growth in the people you support by establishing and achieving personal goals and implementing person-centered practices
    • Input information into Care Director database
    • Design innovative community integration activities (volunteering, outdoor, social) and support persons served on these community outings
    • Provide daily transportation of persons supported in Rise vans and buses
    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Hardworking, flexible and ability to work collaboratively with a team
    • Patience, kindness, and organizational skills
    • Open to or experience working with people with disabilities
    • Maintain calm demeanor in handling occasional difficult situations 
    • Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds
    • A valid drivers license and compliance with Rule 11 and MVR background check required
    • Previous experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person!

     

    Benefits: 

    Starting: $13.50- $14.50 per hour

    No evenings or weekends 

    Medical - Single Employee Medical Coverage under $90/month. Dental under $17, matched 401(k). Life Insurance. FSA. PTO starts at 16 days a year, plus 2 float and 8 paid holidays.
