    Donor Engagement Coordinator
     
    Responsibilities
    As a key relationship-builder on our fund development team, this full-time exempt position will support all aspects of Alexandra House’s fundraising efforts. The Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of Alexandra House’s annual fundraising plan including non-governmental grants, direct mail solicitations, online giving, in-kind/material donations, and our monthly giving program. This position works with the Communications Marketing Director to create strategies to engage new and returning donors and to share Alexandra House’s story through our website, social media, and other donor and community-focused media.
     
    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree (communications, journalism, public relations, development preferred)
    • Three plus years experience with fundraising, grant writing, marketing, monthly giving programs, or direct mail
    • Commitment to and experience in working with people from diverse populations and marginalized communities
    • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners, government officials, donors, volunteers, and media
    • Ability to problem solve, effectively plan and prioritize, make decisions individually and within a team
    • Ability to handle donor information with complete confidentiality
    • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Robust knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
    • Familiarity and comfort using databases (donor database: eTapestry, Greater Giving)
    • Ability to travel to multiple locations 
     
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Knowledge of issues specifically related to domestic and sexual violence
    • Thorough knowledge of development practices and fundraising strategies
    • Strong copywriting and editing experience
    • Demonstrated analytical and relationship building skills, with the ability to recognize and prioritize opportunities to achieve goals
    • High level of personal organization and attention to detail, with demonstrated accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
     
    Hours
    Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm with evenings and weekends as needed.
     
    Starting Salary Range
    $37,000 - $44,000 DOQ, along with an excellent benefits package including health and dental Insurance, retirement plan with employer match, paid holidays, paid vacation and medical, life insurance, short term and long-term disability insurance.
