• MetroNorth Statement on Recent Events

On May 25th, 2020, Minnesotans around the state felt incredible grief, pain and outrage when George Floyd was killed. Since then our communities have been torn apart, both literally and figuratively. We grieve for everyone who has been impacted by this tragedy.  As an organization which strives to build communities and build relationships, this has been heartbreaking. It's clear that voices for change need to be heard, and we encourage that to continue in peaceful, safe and constructive ways. It’s also clear that thoughtful, collaborative conversations on justice, reform, leadership, equity and inclusiveness must be addressed now. And after conversations…change. The MetroNorth Chamber of Commerce is committed to identifying how we can best move forward together to both rebuild and strengthen our communities. We are ready. It is time.
