Discover Aviation Days!Description
Celebrate the history and future of flight at Discover Aviation Days. Come to the Anoka County Airport in Blaine and enjoy flying demonstrations, kid's activities, numerous aviation exhibits, aircraft & helicopter rides, food booths and more! General aviation and corporate aircraft, experimental, WWII fighters, trainers and bombers and modern military aircraft will all be on display. Those interested in a career in aviation can stop by the numerous aviation and education booths. A Pancake Breakfast & Lunch to be served both days. Pilot Safety Seminars offered throughout both days. An evening Hangar Dance with 1940's swing music from David Andrew's Big Band held Saturday night at 8pm.
Admission to Discover Aviation Days is FREE. However, we are asking for a parking donation to aid in covering event costs. The pancake breakfast, hangar dance and air rides all require fees.
- Pancake Breakfast from 7am to 11:30am / Lunch - noon to 3:30 both days.
- American Veterans Traveling Tribute on display starting at 12:00 noon on Friday June 1st through end of day June 3rd - open 24 hours for viewing.
- The hangar dance is from 8 p.m. to midnight on Saturday June 2nd. Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for students, kids 12 and under are free.
This year's Special Feature - "American Veterans Traveling Tribute"
This large exhibit is an 80% scale of the Vietnam wall in Washington DC.
Opening ceremonies for this to be held Friday June 1st at 12:00 noon.
